Sign Designer / Production Operative (Adobe Illustator, Adobe Photshop and FlexiSign)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our growing business as a sign designer and production operative.

This unique opportunity offers diversity and genuine scope for career progression.

Responsible for designing bespoke signage, this position requires a creative person who is able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, is self-motivated and enjoys working within a progressive busy environment. The work will be varied, designing and manufacturing all kinds of signs in a multitude of materials.

The ideal candidate should have over a year’s experience although training will be given where necessary.

The candidate MUST have a full driving licence as driving will be a requirement of the job.

Aspects of the job will include, but are not limited to:

• Using design software to prepare designs using a project brief prepared by our Sales Team.
• Preparing visuals for approval purposes.
• Preparing detailed final manufacture drawings.
• Preparing the various program files ready for manufacturing.
• Assisting with the production of a variety of signage as required.
• Assisting with the installation of signage indoors and outdoors.
• Using vinyl cutting software.

Key competencies:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Creativity and imagination.
• Good computer skills.
• Drawing and design ability.
• Experience with the following design packages – Adobe Illustator, Adobe Photoshop & FlexiSign.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of the methods of construction and types of materials used within the fabrication of signs.
• Ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
• A full driving licence.
• Comfortable with manual labour and working at height if required.
• Willing to travel and occasionally be away overnight.

Competitive salary dependent on experience.
